Martin Foundation distributes food through their outreach program

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected numerous lives all across the Indian subcontinent. People have suffered a loss of jobs and some have become homeless. The pandemic is here to stay for some more time, and such situations surely call for drastic measures. Tamil Nadu is one of the states which has suffered a major setback due to the ongoing pandemic. The city of Coimbatore has been the worst hit in the state.

As a part of its CSR activities, Martin Foundation has assisted the state in the past as well. In the last few months, we donated relief material and medicines worth 3 crores to the Honorary Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

The present circumstances provide us with a platform to unite together to rebuild human lives. Martin Group of Companies have time and again lent a helping hand to people in need by providing them overall support. Martin Group recently provided nutritional support to people who were fighting hunger.

Each day, a nutritious meal was made for at least 5,000 people. The meal contained protein-rich foods such as vegetables, eggs, and chicken. The meal was prepared with all necessary precautions, utmost attention, and packed hygienically. The meal was loaded on vehicles and distributed to various districts.

Through our outreach problem, we were able to reach the remotest of villages where food was a scarce resource. The main aim behind this program was to fill the stomachs of all those in need and help them in their fight against poverty, hunger, and malnutrition.

Through this program, we were able to provide support to over 50,000 people within a short period of 2 weeks.

Martin Group of Companies owner Mr. Santiago Martin believes that this is the time when people should look after each other and provide help whenever possible. We aim is to take India to a better place where they can self-sustain themselves. But, our country will not get by itself. We have to take measures to take our country ahead. We at Martin, work in harmony with our goal to reduce inequality, poverty, injustice and bring people out of this cycle.

No one can predict when the pandemic will end and life will be back to normal, but what we must do during these uncertain times is take all essential measures: be there for each other, help one another, and be a source of support for one another.
